Dispensary Lead Nikki says “Steve is the man! Very much a team player and willing to help wherever needed, he is kind, cares about doing his best here at ACS and gives great product feedback! It’s heartwarming to hear the stories of the fun he and his daughter have smoking together. We appreciate Steve for being himself.”
From Maggie: Assistant Dispensary Manager we hear “ Steve brings great energy to the booth! Patients and staff know they can rely on him as the first person you see at ACS He has some of the best product reviews! (Ask about “Take Me Home Gypsy Road” 🙂)
How long have you been with ACS? I have been with ACS for just over a year.
What do you enjoy about your role? As the check-in/security person I am the first person they see, I get to set the tone for the rest of their experience, I like to send everyone in with a smile.
What draws you to medical cannabis? It has really helped me with getting a better handle on my anxiety and bipolar disorder.
What do you enjoy about your position? My favorite part of my position is the feeling I get when I am in the booth. It’s like I’m Alfred helping out Batman from the bat cave , I am the eye in the sky, the wizard behind the curtain, I keep a watchful eye over the magical land of ACS.
As a patient, what products do you find helpful? How has cannabis helped you?I found that the strains of New Glue and when we had Pura Vida help me the most. Cannabis helps me to be able to function more daily.
What is something surprising about cannabis that someone who hasn’t consumed before might not know? That people are quick to judge those who use cannabis, that it is not all just about getting high and having that euphoric feeling. It’s been proven to be very beneficial for many conditions. You’re going to need to try different strains, to find what works best for you, it’s a lot of trial and error but when you find what helps, it really makes a world of difference.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Spending time with my family, watching Big Bang Theory, playing video games and, I just started doing smoke and paint night with my daughter (our version of the wine and paint nights).
Anything else you’d like to add? Hopes/dreams for medical cannabis? I hope the day comes where people stop looking at it as oh that person is stoned or that person is just high and start looking at it as oh this person is using a medication that is really helpful to them; people need to get over the stigma of it and really start looking at it as something that can be more helpful then even some regularly prescribed meds.
