How long have you been with ACS?
Kyrel- I’ve been with ACS for over a year now. Will make two in November of 2025.
Sammi- I’ve worked at ACS for 5 months
What do you enjoy about your role?
Kyrel- What I enjoy most about my role is being a huge part of the backbone of the dispensary, and learning about the new strains we’re bringing in.
Sammi-I really enjoy getting to be involved in the behind the scenes of the industry. Seeing how things work from production to sales and being involved in all of it is so interesting!
What draws you to medical cannabis?
Kyrel- What drew me to medical marijuana was a sense of guilt. My mom passed in June ’23 and I was her main “caretaker”. I would help her pick the medicine that was needed for her pain, and I would make sure she took all of her actual medicine. Now that she is gone, I feel a sense of guilt of not being able to fully help her( nothing I could actually do to help ), I applied here to help medical patients with their symptoms, whatever they are.
Sammi- I love helping people, so working with medical cannabis is a way I can continue my passion and provide quality medicine to people like me!
What do you enjoy about your position? Or What is your favorite product to produce?
Kyrel- My favorite product to produce is our Paradise City or our Pura Vida, big sativa fan.
Sammi- I enjoy working with wholesale orders. Preparing the order, communicating with other companies in the industry, and even getting on the road and delivering product to other dispensaries makes every day interesting! My favorite part is getting to see different dispensaries across the state!
As a patient, what products do you find helpful? How has cannabis helped you?
Kyrel- The products I find most helpful are our relax vapes, and our relax effect products. They’re a huge help to my insomnia.
Sammi-As a patient, cannabis has helped me immensely with my mental health. Living with Depression and Anxiety, using cannabis as medication helps to relieve a lot of my symptoms, even my mood, and allow me to get through my day to day tasks.
What is something surprising about cannabis that someone who hasn’t consumed before might not know?
Kyrel- Something I think someone who has never consumed before should know is, it effects everyone DIFFERENTLY.
Sammi- People who haven’t consumed cannabis may not know about how versatile it is in how you consume it. Especially with edibles, people often assume that you have to eat a lot of sweets. I have learned that you can infuse any type of fat and once it’s infused you can use it for cooking pretty much anything!
What are your favorite ACS products?
Kyrel- My favorite products are still the Paradise City, the Pura Vida, and the Night Terror OG. My favorites at the moment.
Sammi- One of my favorite products from ACS is the Relax vape cartridge. The name speaks for itself – it’s so relaxing and calming and helps me sleep.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Kyrel-I enjoy listening/making music, playing video games, reading books, consuming anything Marvel.
Sammi- I really love to cook in my spare time! It’s one of my passions. I’ve just recently started trying my hand at making infused foods at home as well!
Anything else you’d like to add? Hopes/dreams for medical cannabis?
Kyrel- A hope I have for medical marijuana is for it to become federally legal. I think it’s a medicine that helps people, rather than a Schedule 1 substance.
Sammi- I hope one day cannabis loses its stigma and becomes more widely accepted for its medicinal properties! I hope to see medical cannabis integrating into general medicine someday and becoming common practice and knowledge for society!
