Cannabis Infused Bath Bombs

Cannabis Infused Bath Bombs are a fun and inexpensive way to treat yourself with quality self-care. This recipe may help to set the tone for relaxation, relief from the days stress, aches and pain. Bath Bombs traditionally effervesce when wet, resulting in a bubbly bath-time experience conditioning your skin, releasing aromas and, with cannabinoids, may help to promote a calming and therapeutic effect.

SERVINGS

Recipe yields 4 Bath Bombs

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salt
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons almond oil or melted coconut oil
  • 3/4 tablespoon water
  • 12-15 drops essential oil (ex: Lavender, Chamomile, Clary Sage, Lemon, Bergamot Orange)
  • 2mL of ACS’s CBD, THC or 1:1 Full Spectrum tincture – Products can be found here
  • Color pigment (optional)
  • Bath bomb molds
INSTRUCTIONS
  • In a medium bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients.
  • Add the color pigment to achieve your desired look. Wisk to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the wet ingredients.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry, very slowly. Mixing it too quickly will activate the citric acid and will start fizzing. Mix until combined where the ingredients should look like wet sand.
  • Fill each half of the mold, packing the mixture in slightly until it’s overflowing. Press the halves together firmly letting the filled mold sit for one minute. To remove the bath bomb, lightly tap the mold and gently pull it apart. Don’t have a mold? No problem – you can improvise by using ice cube trays, 1/3 or 1/4 measuring cups, cookie cutters or by molding with your hands.
  • Let the bath bombs dry for 24 hours. Enjoy!
